DIY Napkin Decoupage Technique – Decorating Wooden Boxes

Paper napkins are available just about anywhere, they come in the prettiest patterns and are inexpensive, too!
With this simple technique you can decorate  just about anything, try this technique on all sorts of items made of wood, ceramic, glass, terracotta, tiles, cardboard, metal, etc…

You need:
– a napkin/serviette
– a wooden box or other items you want to decorate
– mod podge (which is quite expansive) I always use normal PVA glue which works fine as well

Here are some tips for decoupaging napkins:
– important is that the underground is a lighter color, so that the napkin motif will show.
– Be GENTLE: If you are not gentle, you could end up with a big hole in your project or ripping the napkin
